Meet the teachers!
Juls & Sirom (AUT/ITA)
It all started in Innsbruck in the autumn of 2018 when two dancers met at a Shag workshop – and they instantly clicked! Juls and Sirom quickly discovered their shared love for Collegiate Shag, which sparked a journey of regular training, international festivals, and endless hours spent perfecting their craft.
Their dedication has helped them build a diverse repertoire and, more importantly, a deep understanding of lead-follow communication. In their teaching, they focus on technique rather than just moves, helping dancers develop smoother, more relaxed Shag.
Now, expanding beyond Innsbruck, Juls and Sirom are excited to share their love for Collegiate Shag with dancers around the world!
Vesi & Victor (BUL)
Meet Vesi and Victor – passionate dancers and teachers with years of experience in many styles. They both started with ballroom dancing and ballet, later diving into jazz and musical theater – even lighting up the stage in The Book of Dreams!
But nothing stole their hearts quite like swing dancing – especially Blues! They fell in love with its freedom, music, and deep sense of connection. As part of Lindy Hop Bulgaria, they love sharing their energy and knowledge, helping dancers of all levels find joy and express themselves on the dance floor.
Nina & Samo (SLO)
Our neighbors from Slovenia started dancing 6-count swing and Lindy hop in 2017, but soon discovered Collegiate Shag! They were blown away by how cool it was, and they had been passionately dancing it for almost eight years.
For the last four years, Nina & Samo have been teaching regular classes at Studio Dansa and have been one of the drivers of Ljubljana’s Shag scene and part of Bunny Hop Ljubljana organizing team.
Their passion for Shag takes them far and wide – they eagerly travel to workshops and festivals across the world. They also love to choreograph and perform and are proud members of Studio Dansa’s first Collegiate Shag team, Shag Shlag.

On Saturday we will have a special evening with live music! Two amazing bands will each play two sets – Swing Brigade will bring the shag energy, while Bend Over will set the mood with blues!
Swing Brigade (CRO)
The Swing Brigade is a cornerstone of the Gypsy swing scene in Zagreb, Croatia. This talented ensemble features seasoned musicians, including Franjo Stojaković on clarinet, Radovan Bjelajac on violin, Ivan Grgić on guitar, and Mario Jamnić on double bass. The group blends the timeless spirit of Django Reinhardt’s music with American swing and Eastern European music traditions.
With a long history of working with Lindy Hop dancers in Zagreb, they bring a smooth blend of elegance and rhythm to every performance. Their commitment to preserving and evolving the Gypsy swing tradition helps them maintain a strong presence in Zagreb’s cultural scene.
Bend Over (SLO)
The story of the carefully selected musical group, which today bears the name Bend Over, dates back to 2018, when amateur musicians, eager to create, came together and founded a band that began to discover its musical mission with great enthusiasm. With dramatic inserts and delicate performances, they adapt many examples of the world’s musical treasury to their special taste and idea of musical entertainment.
The band consists of: Lea Čehovin (vocals) and Gregor Koritnik (vocals, clarinet) in the front line, Patrick Gyurkač (double bass, bass guitar) and Sebastian Pečnik (drums, percussion), who always ensure that the right rhythm guides them on the path to success, and Andrej Rus (guitar) and David Logar (keyboards), who infuse the songs with a melodic soul with infectious energy.
